Carleton's corporate headquarters and largest manufacturing facility is located in Western New York. In 1989, we moved into a new 93,000 sq. ft. building, specifically designed to facilitate the smooth flow of work through the manufacturing process.
In addition to the engineering and manufacturing activities performed in Orchard Park, the facility also houses the corporate Human Resources, Finance, and Management Information Services Groups.
Carleton has a long history of being focused on the philosophy of continuous improvement. We have adopted a Design for Six Sigma strategy for our product development process. Our Lean Six Sigma perspective allows us to focus on all aspects of the business from initial customer contact to delivery of the finished product.
Our engineers and designers use the SolidWorks application for design and drafting.
Carleton has adopted and currently practices Lean Six Sigma (see brochure) for all of operations. Our in-plant capabilities include a small model shop for prototype builds; manufacture of helical and belleville springs and aneroids; molding of elastomeric seals, seats, and diaphragms; soldering, brazing, and welding; and a state-of-the-art aqueous, multi-station cleaning facility which meets all governmental regulations.
Our Assembly and Test area is environmentally controlled and conforms to FED-STD-209, Class 100,000. Our in-house testing capabilities include the ability to test with gaseous nitrogen, helium, oxygen, and argon at pressures up to 15,000 psi as well as a shock and vibration test lab. We employ several Carleton-designed fully automated test stands to acquire and analyze test data efficiently.
We overhaul and repair all of our products with a full one year warranty. These services are performed in-house at our Orchard Park, NY facility.
Carleton specializes in the overhaul of Narrow Panel Oxygen Regulators. For a listing of the narrow panel regulators we support, see Overhaul: Narrow Panel Regulators.
