Continuing our tradition of being a premier supplier
of life support equipment for manned space flight, Carleton has recently
developed and supplied components for the nitrogen/oxygen control system
for the International Space Station (ISS) Joint Airlock. The hardware
consists of manual isolation valves, regulators, relief valves, motor
driven isolation valves, pressure sensors, and flow restrictors.
Carleton's components will be directly involved in the preparation and
deployment of astronauts for extravehicular activities originating in
the Joint Airlock. Other Carleton hardware will be used throughout the
ISS in such modules as the Columbus Orbital Facility (COF), Japanese Experiment
Module (JEM), U.S. Laboratory Module (LAB), and Multi-Purpose Logistics
Module (MPLM).
