Pneumatic Bottle Assembly (PBA)
- FRP-1 Cylinder
- Lightweight
- Integral charging and gauge
- 15 year service life
|
Application:
The Pneumatic Bottle Assembly (PBA) stores and distributes nitrogen gas on the Global Hawk
Unmanned Vehicle landing gear. In the event of a failure to the hydraulic system which
operates the landing gear, nitrogen gas contained within the storage vessel of the PBA is
distributed to the landing gear through the connected manifold assembly.
Features:
The system consists of a DOT approved 3,000 psig (207 bar) aluminum lined fiberglass/epoxy
over-wrapped cylinder manifolded for filling, porting and monitoring of gauge pressure.
The lightweight system is 2.8 lbs (1.3 kg) dry and has a service life of 15 years or 10,000
pressure cycles.
