Description

Carleton's flow control and pressurization technology encompasses a range of products from simple on-off valves to sophisticated microprocessor-based, closed-loop control systems. Our electropneumatic technology is used to provide environmental control and cooling for the protection of avionics in military radar and forward looking infrared imaging and tracking systems. Our experience in providing high pressure gas storage and control systems also led to the development of emergency landing gear blowdown systems for military aircraft.

Typical products in this marketplace include:

The Carleton family of pneumatic power modules provide pneumatic energy sources to successfully unlock weapon release linkages and extend ejector pistons of bomb ejection systems on a variety of aircraft.

Carleton has produced more than 700 systems and continues to supply them to the U.S. Navy for spares and to foreign military users of the F/A-18.

Carleton has been supplying the emergency landing gear blowdown system for the Boeing V-22 Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft since 1988.

Since 1987, Carleton has supplied more than 600 waveguide pressurization systems for the Low Altitude Navigation Targetting InfraRed for Night (LANTIRN) navigation pod.
