Description

Carleton designs and manufactures pneumatic devices required for pressure control. Our products include pressure regulators, check valves, relief valves, and automatic stop valves that meet stringent U.S. Navy specification requirements.

Carleton designs and manufactures a wide range of products used in oxygen gas systems to strict Level I requirements. These include oxygen stop valves, oxygen reducing manifolds, oxygen regulators, oxygen relief valves, oxygen check valves, and flow control valves.

Typical pneumatic products in this marketplace include:

U.S. Navy surface ships use halon fire suppression systems. When the fire suppression system is activated a 30- or 60-second delay is required to allow the room to be isolated and for personnel to evacuate. Carleton's halon time delay valve controls the delayed release of halon.

Carleton's high-pressure reducing manifolds are used on various U.S. Navy surface ships. In addition to pressure regulators, U.S. Navy high-pressure systems require pressure gauges, filters, by-pass valves, bleed valves, and other safety related components. Carleton provides all these components in one manifold block. The manifold reduces the overall cost of the system by eliminating the need to connect the components with pipes.

Carleton's latching solenoid valve is used on the U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke Class Guided Missile Destroyer Turbine Braking System. When the turbine braking system is activated, the latching valve supplies pneumatic pressure to actuate the braking calipers. Carleton also supplies the turbine braking system pneumatic high pressure regulator.
