  Our MIL QUALIFIED Microclimate Cooling System (MCS) and Microclimate Cooling Subsystem (MCSS) are currently deployed on Blackhawk, Chinook, and Apache platforms. It is also qualified for use on the Kiowa.
Up one level Description

Carleton's microclimate cooling systems provide cooling for pilots and crew members to prevent thermal fatique and extend mission duration.

The Multi-man Microclimate Cooling Unit (MMCU) vapor compression based system cools up to 5 individuals and is designed to operate on land based vehicles.

The MCU cools 1 person and is also mounted on land based vehicles. The battlefield proven adaptable design allows for internal or external mounting.

Carleton's multi-man microclimate cooling unit includes a high efficiency, vapor cycle, chiller that delivers 900+ watts of system cooling capacity to up to 5 users in ambient temperatures as high as 120 deg F.

Carleton's microclimate cooling system is liquid based (water-glycol mixture as cooling medium) and consists of a vehicle mounted cooling unit, under-garment cooling vest and interconnecting umbilical with integral control pod.
