Carleton's microclimate cooling systems provide cooling for pilots and crew members to prevent thermal fatique and extend mission duration.
Carleton's MIL QUALIFIED Microclimate Cooling System (MCS) and Microclimate Cooling Subsystem (MCSS) are qualified for EMI, power capability, vibration, shock, high temperature, blowing sand, dust and rain.
Carleton's vapor compression based MCS cools one user and was designed and qualified as part of the US Army Air Warrior program for use by helicopter aircrew.
The MCSS cools the pilot and the copilot and consists of two heat exchangers connected to the PCA (Pump Control Assembly). The system is integrated into the aircraft's Environmental Control System ducts.
