Description

Carleton designs and manufactures atmosphere control systems for manned space applications ranging from relatively simple pure oxygen systems for space suits, to more complex two gas pressurization systems for large space vehicles. We also supply components for other environmental control and life support applications, including thermal control and waste management systems.

Among the products Carleton manufactures for ECLSS are:

Continuing our tradition of being a premier supplier of life support equipment for manned space flight, Carleton has recently developed and supplied components for the nitrogen/oxygen control system for the International Space Station (ISS) Joint Airlock.

Carleton designed and developed the ARPCS for the Space Shuttle Orbiter. It provides a two-gas atmosphere of nitrogen and oxygen to the crew compartment and habitable payload modules.

Carleton provides the oxygen system pressure controls for the PLSS and SOP as part of the Space Shuttle Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU).

Our new radiator isolation valve is a three-way cooling system valve used on the Space Shuttle.

Carleton has delivered more than 20 regulators for the Space Shuttle Orbiter's water spray boiler subsystem.
